POV 1.5 tripod brackets to be included with RaceCam POV 1.5 motorsort camera kits.

With the release of the new POV 1.5 camera kit, it became apparent that VIO had ceased to include a particular component that allowed intergration of the supplied camera mount to various brackets.

This meant that an extra $38.00 purchase was required to allow integration to various mounts utilising a 1/4 thread.

RaceCam has now struck up a deal with VIO to obtain the POV 1.5 tripod mount bracket as an individual item, this will allow the fitment of the POV 1.5 camera mounting to various  avaliable mounting solutions. EG. RAM roll cage or suction mounts and many others.

When you purchase a POV 1.5 with a RAM mount or suction mount  in the same purchase you will receive a free tripod mount to suit the system. This makes your POV 1.5 a complete race camera solution.

2 times SA champion: Matthew Selley  to use RaceCam technology to push for a 3rd Consecutive title!

The SARC championship round (South Australian Rally Championship) is certainly the hottest contested round of SA gravel/Tarmac rallying, with the first round of the 2009 season to be the Adelaide Hills Tarmac Rally being held on 30-31 may 2009.

The 2007 & 2008 two times (consecutive) winner, Driver Matt Selley and his navigator Claire Ryan will be entering the Adelaide Hills Tarmac Rally to start the season in preparation of an attempt for a 3rd consecutive win of the SARC championship.

Claire has replaced Matt's former Navigator Joana Fuller due to her retirement from the sport. Claire has been a user of the RaceCam products in her other competition rides.
We at RaceCam suspect with Claire's Professional navigation skills and über-calm demeanour that Matt may hopefully find a bit more speed this year, hopefully propelling them to a 3rd consecutive win.

Matt Has been a long time user of RaceCams products, and we are certainly exited to see them using the latest technology to aid in their pursuit of a 3rd consecutive State championship round.

Matt's WRX STI runs a VIO POV 1 incar unit, perfect for viewing after the race to see any points they made mistakes, or possibility of making up time in future stage runs or events.

RaceCam wishes Matt & Claire the best of luck with their 2009 Season!

2009 Adelaide Hills Tarmac Sprint.

RaceCam has provided ASP rally with In-car camera units to obtain reconnaissance footage from the special stages of the upcoming Adelaide hills tarmac rally. To be run over the weekend of 30-31 May 2009.

ASP & RaceCam have together created an integration of technology to the motorsport field.  RaceCam racecamera technology has been used to provide competitors (who are from all over Australia), a chance to witness the stages first hand before performing an onsite reconnaissance before the event.

Whilst ASP were creating these videos, it was also a good testament to the weatherproofing capability of the RaceCam and POV camera units. The weather was certainly not courteous on the days that filming took place.

Footage from this effort can be viewed at:  http://www.asprally.com/Video.htm

VIO USA have announced that within a number of months the POV-1 camera unit will be discontinued.  The already available POV-1.5 will be replacing it as a newer version with some better options.

However It won't be the last we see of the POV-1, it is to be upgraded slightly and rebadged as the "POV-T".
The POV-T is going to be a specialist Law enforcement and defence force camera unit. This will have a 5 step exposure control and automatic time & date stamp for legal purposes. This will add another fantastic product to RaceCams existing equipment.
